In April of 1990, 30 years ago, Steve & Kathy Walvatne started a new venture! Together they opened Walvatne Floor Covering in Sumner Iowa!

With Steve already having several years of professional installation experience and Kathy's ability to measure for projects and find quality products for their customers, Steve and Kathy were soon busy keeping up with clients' demands. Their mission was to deliver a quality product at a fair price and install it with expertise.

As their children grew up, each helped wherever necessary. Jonathan's attention to detail became a huge asset to our small company and soon he was independently installing flooring as well. After completing high school he decided to continue with the flooring industry. His wife Joanna has also become very involved in the flooring business as well.

Kathy and Joanna make a great team and enjoy helping their customers choose the right flooring and window treatments for their projects.

30 years later, here at Walvatne Floor Covering, we are continuing to strive to make sure every customer is happy when we are through!
